The Dallas Wedding DJ difference

- Your wedding, your way: We'll listen to what you want. You have complete control over how many announcements we make, how loud the music is and what music is played.

- Classy emcee: We will go over all announcements we'll make prior to the wedding. You have complete control over what we introduce and announce throughout the night. Your DJ will not tell jokes on the microphone or try to steal the spotlight.

- Single-op DJ company: There are 2 main types of DJ companies--single-op & multi-op. A single op is a DJ company with one DJ while a multi-op has many DJs. Discovery DJs is a single-op company, with owner Jim Weisz as the only DJ. That way there are no surprises about who your DJ will be. Jim has served as the DJ for every event for Discovery DJs--over 250 events!

- Online planning tools: Plan your wedding when you have time from any computer with internet access. Once you are a Discovery DJs client you will be given a special client access website account. That will allow you to submit all the details we will need for your wedding reception.

- Music requests: Using our online planning system, you can submit your 'must play', 'play if possible' and 'do not play' songs. We will be happy to give feedback on your request list but we will not dictate what you can choose nor will we tell you how many songs you can request. It is your wedding so you can choose as few or as many songs as you'd like.

- Contact with your DJ: We are available via phone or e-mail for any questions you have. If you send an e-mail or leave us a voicemail we make every attempt to respond within 1 business day.

- Equipment: We take a lot of pride in having a very clean and unobtrusive system. We use some of the top brands in the business (Rane, QSC, Pioneer, EV) so you'll have excellent sound at your wedding without having an eyesore of a DJ system.
